with fellow artists. Kathy is a member
of the Weatherford Art Association
and the Society of Watercolor Artists.
Besides painting, her other interests
are quilting and traveling.
Another artist with an inte-
rior design background, Debra Sue
Waters, now does more decorat-
ing for horse shows than houses.
Although she has decorated the
courses for three national eventing
championships, her main interest for
thirty years has been as a national
examiner and clinician, which means
she judges equestrian events, mainly
dressage and jumping. This activ-
ity has literately taken her to all fifty
states and keeps her very busy.
She is active with the Weatherford
Art Association and is a past
president. Her award-winning art
commonly features horses, and she
does pet and equine portraits on
commission.
Precise, unique, and flawless
describe Gayle Johnson’s colorful
creations. Everything from quilts to
runners to seasons fabrications come
from her sewing expertise. She grew
up sewing with her mother and has
been at it for many years. Gayle
makes the one-of-a-kind display
quilts seen at Berry Patch in Fort
Worth where she works part-time.
