Additionally, she did faux painting
on furniture, walls, and anything
that didn’t move, with her good
friend, Marilyn Brumley. Earlier, she
had taught school and helped raise
a grandson. Beverly has painted

does portraits on commission.
To hold a piece of Connie
Carlisle’s pottery is to hold a three-
dimensional watercolor. Residing in
Parker County for the past twenty-
four years, Connie has pursued
combining form and function by
beautiful embellishing all surfaces
with game birds, songbirds, wild-
flower vegetation, scenes of working
ranches and her traditional Country
French style of rabbits, creating a
ceramic piece for permanent enjoy-
ment. Her New Work completes her
pottery line from table top to floor
with her line of durable floor cloths
as well as placements and table
runners embellished as beautifully as
her collected and customized pottery.
Kathy Cunning works with water-

was named the WHS Teacher of the
Year and the TAEA State Secondary
Art Educator of 2005. After retire-
ment in 2011, Kathy began to focus
on painting at least two days a week
