David Barton is the founder and president of WallBuilders, a national pro-family organiza-
tion founded in 1988. WallBuilders presents America’s forgotten history and heroes, with an
emphasis on our moral, religious and constitutional heritage. David is the author of numerous
best-selling books, and he addresses well over 400 groups each year. WallBuilders has been
recognized from coast-to-coast for its work in education, history, law and public policy, inte-
grating the elements of Biblical faith and morality throughout all aspects of American life and
culture. Time Magazine named him as one of America’s 25 most influential evangelicals.
David and his wife, Cheryl, currently live in Aledo. David, a former Aledo Bearcat, graduated
from Oral Roberts University. Cheryl is the president of WallBuilders and oversees the work
at the office.
The Bartons have three adult children, sons Tim and Steve, and daughter Damaris.
Tim is a speaker with his dad at WallBuilders. He and his wife, Gabi, currently live in
Weatherford. Steven lives out of state and currently serves in the military. Damaris also lives
out of state and her husband also serves in the military. David and Cheryl have three wonder-
ful grandchildren.
When David is not on the road speaking or writing a new book, he enjoys horseback riding
and spending time on his ranches.
