Weatherford’s history while
seeing some beautiful and
stately Weatherford homes.
This is the 35th time that
the Parker County Heritage
Society has hosted this
annual tour of homes, and
if you’ve never been, you’re
really missing something
special.
Abby Hamessley is a
second-time tour chair
and owner of a charming bungalow near Cherry
Park. “The venues on this
year’s tour represent a
wide variety of styles and
vintages,” Hamessley said.
“People should go on the
tour because it’s important
to see how people live in
old homes in modern times.
There are modern appliances
juxtaposed against old moldings, and vintage floors. This
year we are featuring beautiful Victorians, a historic
schoolhouse as well as a tiny
house on this year’s tour,”
she continued. “There’s truly
something for everyone.”
Many towns and
neighborhoods host a tour
of homes, but Weatherford
is unique as you hear the
history behind the lovely
wainscoting and vintage
windows. There are nine
locations on the tour this
year. Here’s an overview of
the tour locations for 2016.
