hen you walk into most boutiques you see great clothes and styles that
you want to wear. Red Horse Boutique in Aledo also has great clothes
that you want to wear, but many of their styles have a bigger purpose: to help
people in need.
Partners Kristy Krouse and Cassady Kirk are busy moms with big hearts to
improve what they can in the world and you can see this focus all around their
store in downtown Aledo. For example, their line of colorful leather and bright
fabric handbags is produced by artisans in Guatemala. The pair works with
San Antonio-based Fresco Fabrics to provide a new market for Guatemalan
textile artists through the sale of their
beautiful bags that impact the quality
of life in their villages. Roma boots is
another company they work with. It
provides a pair of boots to a child in
a third-world country for every pair
