life after college – she said she is
open to whatever happens in her

her re-experience the Weatherford
community and meet an entirely new
group of people.
Lydia Mehrhoff raised funds for
critically sick kids through Makea-Wish. The sweet treat that was
supplied by her restaurant partner,
Downtown Café, was bananas foster.
She’s always known she wanted
to help people, so it was a natural
progression for her to become a
nurse. She says she likes everything
about her job at North Central Texas
Urology because she has such nice
patients. She appreciated the opportunity to be a bachelorette, meet new
people and help kids through her
fundraising efforts.
Krista Lemley, D.O., supported
the charity Our Community Our
Kids, which helps foster children
in our community. Her restaurant
partner was Fish Creek, which
served pumpkin banana bread with
a caramel drizzle. She’s a doctor
who practices with Weatherford OB/
GYN Associates and loves delivering babies. A recent Weatherford
transplant, Lemley says she loves
her new community because it’s so
friendly. Of the event, she said she

Parker County resident and helping
to deliver the babies of those she
brought into the world.
Allison Willis raised money for
Careity Foundation, a group that
supports people in our area who are
impacted by cancer. Her food partner
was Jeri’s Bakery, which served chocolate brownies and pumpkin bites.
They were responsible for putting
a smile on so many Parker County
faces during the evening. Allison
works for local oil and gas company
OXXN as its operations manager and
is used to juggling projects and learning new things. She chose Careity
Foundation because she says we have
all been touched by cancer. This
busy single mom is passionate about
helping others and seeing progress in

Hundreds of people attended the
event and enjoyed the dessert offerings from five of Parker County’s
culinary wizards. The five chefs
were competing to become Parker
County’s Dessert Chef of the Year,
while the bachelorettes were vying
to raise the most money for their
charities. The woman who raises the
most money for her charity becomes
the bachelorette of the year. Also at
the event were savory food items,
supplied by Short Chef Creations and
musical entertainment, courtesy of
crooner Kyle Williams.
Attendees heard from each of the
five charities: Careity Foundation,
Make a Wish Foundation, Parker
County Committee on Aging,
Weatherford/Parker County Animal
Shelter and Our Community/Our
Kids. In addition, a slide show
presentation was prepared to thank
sponsors and business partners who
kindly donated goods, services and
funds to make the event a success.
The slide show with the sponsors’
names is available on the Parker
County Today website at www.
parkercountytoday.com through

the event.
From a physician to financial
professionals and college students,
the bachelorettes were a varied group
this year.
