and now Parker County Today . Several of her images are part of Texas Hospitals ’ permanent art collection . She was winner of the 2014 Calgary Stampede International Photography Competition and was a 2015 Selected Photographer of the Cowgirls With a Camera Exhibition , a show and sale sponsored by Desert Caballeros Western Art Museum in Wickenburg , Ariz . For the exhibition , the museum chooses eleven outstanding women western photographers . She has work displayed at Tom Campbell ’ s Gallery in Granbury and she shows with the Weatherford Art Association , at the Peach Festival , etc .
Steege has donated pieces to various organizations or charities , Careity Foundation among them . She recently donated a piece to the Cowboy Hall of Fame Inductee Dinner .
Asked about Texas living , Steege said : “ We love Texas . We feel right at home here . It does get a little warm . But what ’ s your choice — get warm or get cold ?” Her choice is obvious .
