“Liz,” as she prefers to go by with
her colleagues, has been accepted
into the doctoral history program
at the University of Texas-Arlington
and will begin classes there this
summer. Hard as it may be to
believe, all of those extra courses,
work with the faculty at UTA, and
her dissertation will make her an
even stronger educator in the classroom. The college is very fortunate
to have such a faculty member and
undoubtedly her presence, abilities,
and attitude will make WC an even
stronger academic institution.

Dr. Lindsey McBride has lived in
Parker County since 2007 and
started her practice in 2008. She is
an Obstetrician/Gynecologist and
a physician/owner at Weatherford
OB/GYN Associates in Weatherford.
She enjoys caring for women
and their health. During her third
year of medical school she was
positive she would become a Family
Practice physician. Her first rotation
was in OB/GYN and by her second
week in,w she fell in love with the
field. She changed her focus and
truly feels like God has placed her
for a reason. Dr. McBride loves
coming to work every day and
enjoys the opportunity to make a
difference in the lives of others. Her
biggest accomplishment in the field
has been helping establish an OB/
GYN practice with her business
partner, Dr. Stephen Stamatis.
