In Loving Memory Carolyn Hull Estes, 82, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016. Carolyn was born June 11, 1933, in Memphis, Tenn. She was a 1951 graduate of Treadwell High School and a 1955 cum laude graduate of the University of Memphis. She was a member of Sigma Kappa sorority. She married Robert Estes on June 4, 1955, and she was voted Mid South’s Most Beautiful Bride. The couple were happily married for over 60 years. Carolyn retired from the Fort Worth ISD. She was the 1986 Fort Worth ISD “Teacher of the Year” and a finalist for the 1995 “Walt Disney Salutes the American Teacher.” She was a founding member and former president of the Bush Legacy Republican Women’s Club. She passionately supported the members of the United States military. She organized groups to welcome home soldiers, and raised money for supplies for troops returning to Fort Hood. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Franklin and Annie Jeter Hull; sisters, Nelle Hull Fineout and Sarah Hull Cabaniss; and brother, Thomas Adrian Hull. Survivors: Husband, Robert M. Estes; sons, Robert F. Estes and wife, Linda Kay Estes, and David C. Estes and wife, Marybeth Hoeber; grandchildren, Emily Ann Estes and Elizabeth Ann Estes; sister-in-law, Bobbie Hull; and numerous nieces and nephews.
