A: Antique shows, buy, sell and trade
in a wide assortment of vintage items.
You have to have a lot of variety to
appeal to lots of different folks these
days at many different price points.

A: Gone with the Wind

music?
A: ‘60s Rock, Classic Country
Q: What’s the most daring thing
you’ve ever done?
A: Moved from Parker County and
took a business opportunity out of
state. I was the first female JC Penney
store manager in this region. The store
was in Perry, Ok.

most proud of?
A: My children
Q: When you were a child, what did
you want to be when you grew up?
A: Teacher
Q: How did you get into your field?
A: Working retail in high school and
college at places like Sturges Allen
and Open House on the square in
Weatherford. It helped pay for college.
Q: Would you recommend your career for other people? Why?
A: I would recommend it but it has
changed a great deal. Retail management for a large corporation has certainly changed in the past 50 years.
Q: What do you do to relax?
A: Work in the yard, gardening.
Q: If you could visit any place in the
world, where would you go?
A: Back to Germany; my husband
was stationed there and I’d like to go
back to visit. We enjoyed the time we
spent there and I would like to visit
the places we went when we were
young.

A: Amelia Earhart

piece of advice, what would you say?
A: Find something to be happy about
every day.
