A: The Bible Q: What kind of music are you into? A: Christian Q: If you were to write a book, what would you call it and what would it be about? A: God’s Provisions, our early years in the Ministry. Q: How did you get into your field? A: Pastoring. I had been in the Youth Ministry and then took courses to be a Minister. I went to the Sheriff’s Office to visit an inmate and kept going back. I then got involved in the Jail and became a certified jailer and then went on to become a Certified Reserve Deputy. I’ve pastored a church for 40 plus years. Q: Would you recommend your career for other people? Why? A: Oh, yes. Serving others is the greatest calling in life. Q: What do you do to chill? A: Playing my guitar, going fishing, and building bird houses. Q: What makes you really sad? A: People who reject Jesus for a little pleasure Q: If you could visit any place in the world, where would you go? A: Mountains in Wyoming Q: Do you like to plan things out in detail or be spontaneous? A: Spontaneous Q: What accomplishment are you most proud of? A: The work with youth for years and then the 33-1/2 years in the Parker County Sheriff’s Department Q: If someone asked you to give them your best piece of advice, what would you say? A: Get involved in a Church and serve others. It’s the most rewarding life ever! Q: Who in your life has influenced you the most? A: There are so many that it’s hard to name just one. I preside over County Court at Law No. 2 in Parker County. The court is a general jurisdiction court. It shares jurisdiction with the other county court at law in Parker County, and with the two district courts on civil matters. The two county courts at law have exclusive jurisdiction over criminal cases at the misdemeanor level, 72
