Q: What do you do?
A: Assist people in the North Texas area who are
buying or selling residential, farm and ranch and small
commercial properties.
Q: What is your favorite book?
A: I like all biography books, will not read fiction, life
is too short for fiction or TV reality shows while I am
involved in Real Estate.
Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: Breakfast at Tiffany’s
Q: What kind of music are you into?
A: Music of the 60’s and 70’s
Q: What’s the most daring thing you’ve ever done?
A: I went parasailing in Mexico.
Q: What accomplishment are you most proud of?
A: Being involved with saving Chandor Gardens when
I was on the City Council and now it’s owned by the
citizens of Weatherford!
Q: When you were a child, what did you want to be
when you grew up?
A: A lawyer.
Q: How did you get into your field?
A: After 20 years of working in Congressional offices, I
spent 5 years in banking, title work and decided Real
Estate would be an opportunity that I could determine my
own income by my ability and success.
Q: Would you recommend your career for other people?
Why?
A: Yes, if you love being with people. It is easy to get a
real estate license, but it’s long and hard work to make a
successful income.
Q: What do you do to chill?
A: My husband and I go on short, 3-day vacations, we
love NYC, the museums, restaurants and shows.
Q: If someone asked you for your best piece of advice,
what would you say?
A: From my father, James Bodiford, “All you have in life
is your good name. Treat it with respect, at the end of the

A: Michael and I walking our two border collies, “Charlie
Brinkley,” and, “Flare Up Bodiford,” in our neighborhood
in the historical district, going to the square and greeting
friends along the way.
Q: What makes you really sad?
A: To hear about people who do not get their pets spayed
and neutered.
Q: What scares you?
A: People who are not informed and vote not knowing
the candidate’s background.
Q: Do you like to plan things out in detail or be
spontaneous?
A: Spontaneity is more fun, details will follow.
Q: If you could go back in history, what era would you
like to land in?
A: I like the present. I wouldn’t want to go back.
Q: Who in your life has influenced you the most? How?
A: Besides my parents, a second Dad, former Speaker of
the House of Representatives, Jim Wright, who taught me
community involvement and that service in politics was a
noble cause.
Q: What would you most like to be remembered for?
A: My involvement in historical restoration and being
involved with projects such as Chandor Gardens, Speaker
Wright Home, Mt. Pleasant Colored School, Larry
Hagman Statue, Parker County Heritage Society, Parker
County Historical Commission, for remembering our great
past of Parker County.

A: Checking out historical markers as you drive through
