M
ike’s Westside Rental president Bert Thompson and his wife Bridget are happy
to call Weatherford home. In 2014, he bought the business and became pres-
ident after tracking sales from their original store in Graham. He knew he had to
open a second location in Weatherford after the customer was willing to drive from
Weatherford to Graham, but not to Fort Worth, to pick up a karaoke machine.
Both children, Caroline and Clayton, attend Trinity Christian School. Clayton is in
pre-K and Caroline is in 5 th grade. For Bert, family is the most important thing in his
life. Between their Graham location and the new Weatherford location, he’s extremely
busy. When he’s not at work he loves to spend time with his kids, from soccer tourna-
ments to hanging out on the weekends. He said he knows that it sounds like a cliché,
but with his schedule being busy between the two stores, every minute with his wife
and kids is priceless.
“When I get a minute to spend with my wife and kids, that’s all I need,” he said.

project. If they don’t have the piece of equipment you need they can get it for you. If
you have a project and you are not sure what equipment you need, they can help you
with that. They are open every day but Sunday.
“I don’t care how bad they want me to be [open on Sundays] or how many Home
Depots they build. Sunday is my day with the Lord and my family, and that’s how it
will always be.”
