Anyone who says members of the Millennial Generation
is without direction and focus hasn’t met Hannah Hobson.
Graduating from Millsap High School, in the fall, she’s
bound for Tarleton State University where she plans to
pursue a degree in kinesiology.
Why kinesiology?
“I want to become either a physical therapist or an occupational therapist,” Hannah said. “I’m interested in the
body and how it works.”
Hannah’s interest in kinesiology is a natural progression of having been a school athlete since kindergarten;
she excelled in both volleyball and basketball. When she
suffered a torn rotator cuff, Hannah spent a lot of time in
physical therapy. That’s when Hannah realized what a difference a good physical therapist can make in the quality
of the lives of the very young, the elderly and anyone of
any age in between.
A native of Garner, after earning her degree, Hannah
plans to join the medical community, probably in a larger
market to establish her career, but ultimately, she plans to
return to a smaller Parker County town.
“I want to work and live in the Metroplex, at least for
a while,” Hannah said. “But, I definitely want to raise my
kids in a small town. I loved growing up here.”
