he Heart Center of North Texas Physicians
and Staff are excited about the new location in Weatherford. “It will be a beautiful
building with enough room to accommodate
our patients. They have been very patient with
us in our growth. Our Weatherford location has
been growing since 1999.
This will make our 5th move. Every time
we would get settled in, we would run out of

The Heart Center of North Texas is
a thriving Cardiovascular Practice in
Fort Worth and Weatherford. The group
was established in 1996 when Henry
Philen Lobstein, MD and Nasim Akhtar,
MD combined their solo practices into
one association. Since that time they
have grown exponentially to a total of
12 Physicians, 3 mid-level providers
and 77 staff members. They offer a full
range of cardiovascular services including Preventative, General, Invasive and
Electrophysiology/Device. Their main
facility is in the hospital district near
downtown Fort Worth. They have another fully staffed office in Weatherford.
Additionally, to better serve their outer
communities they have 5 satellite offices
in Stephenville, Granbury, Lake Worth,
Burleson, and Alliance.
Their providers are often the driving
force behind new technology in the area.
They work very close with pharmaceutical companies to pioneer new drugs and
procedures through clinical trials. “Our
patients are the true beneficiaries of our
physicians’ drive to continue to educate
themselves and to give the best and
most current care possible. Our goals
are to treat the patients’ immediate
cardiovascular issues but to also train
and educate the patient to reduce or
prevent future hospitalizations or procedures.” The Practice has been rewarded
with many quality programs including
the “Texas Physician Practice Quality
Improvement Award” for 2 years in a
row and is recognized in the “Bridges
to Excellence” program for the past 4
years.
