a little more fun when played using
a classically cool set of “Bones.”
They’re great heirlooms for your chil-

The Doss Heritage and Culture

in Weatherford that focuses on the
local history of Parker County. With
interactive exhibits about Native
American lifestyle, early pioneer
settlement, and the history of the
cattle drive, kids can learn while
being entertained. The museum also
displays local art with new pieces
each month, and explores the lives
of some of Parker County’s most
successful actors. During the month
of July, the museum will be hosting
its History Alive program on Tuesdays
at 10:30 a.m. They will have a
petting zoo on the 10th, a bird feeder
building activity on the 17th, and a
leather-working class on the 24th.
The museum will also be screening
“throwback summer movies,” includ-
ing “Babe” and “Paulie,” on July 12th
and 19th. All events and admission
to the museum is free, however the
museum does request participants
in the activities to register online at
dosscenter.org so that they can guar-
antee all participants have enough
supplies. The museum is open
five days a week Tuesday through
Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and
is open late Thursday nights until 8
p.m. Donations are always accepted
and help in their mission to preserve
