When it comes to business, there is
something to be said when you add
athletic brawn with brains. People
who have both, have a built-in work
ethic that surpasses the standard.
They have the energy to get the job
done with great positivity and instead
of letting failure shut them down,
they let it shape them.
This is evident with Amanda
Howard. After graduating from
Weatherford High School, she attend-
ed Saint Mary’s University in San
Antonio on a softball and academic
scholarship. She received her
Bachelor’s in Business Administration
in Corporate Finance and was soon
joining the workforce as an Asset
Transfer Manager for TD Ameritrade,
obtaining her FINRA Series 7, 63,
and 24 licenses. When Amanda
started having a family, she found
herself wanting to spend more time at
home. Soon, she would find herself
making a tough decision that would
mean leaving the corporate financial
market.
In 2016, she joined the Weichert
Real Estate team where she would
become the recipient of the 2017
Weichert Executive Club and
Rookie of the Year Awards. She is a
member of the Texas Association of
Realtors and the Greater Metro West
Association of Realtors.
Amanda has strong family ties and
has great respect and admiration for
her parents.
“My dad for his strong work ethic
and integrity and my mom for her
perseverance and love for our fami-
ly.” She credits her mom’s tenacity
in fighting stage IV breast cancer to
helping her overcome her challenge
of leaving her financial career behind
to become a realtor.
“After she fought it and survived,
she really lives every day to the
fullest. She takes the trips, goes all
out for family holidays, and makes
every grandkids’ sporting event. That
perspective really helped me take
the leap into my real estate career. I
moved from the corporate demands
to a career that allows me flexibility
to put my family first and enjoy every
day to the fullest because you never
know what personal challenges may
arise. I hope to be half the mom and
grandma she is,” Howard said.
