With the support of her parents, Chad and Angela Peacock; her
grandparents, Deborah and Craig Peacock; and her sister, Jackie
Peacock, Chloe will soon be leaving Parker County to attend
college at the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Ark., this
fall. She will give up her horse in favor of a soccer ball, and will
continue participating in competitive soccer as a midfielder on
the university’s team. Chloe will be majoring in
biology on the way to becoming a veterinarian
someday. “I really like animals and want to help
them,” she said.
In addition to her work with the PCSP, she
was active in the WHS Student Council, National
Honor Society, was a varsity soccer player and
played on her select soccer team. Also keeping
her busy was the Peer Assisted Leadership group
and her class load that included many advanced
placement classes. Until she leaves in August,
she said her goal is to “spend as much time with
my family and friends as I possibly can.”
As she prepares to leave Parker County, Chloe
took a moment to reflect on her time as Posse
Sweetheart and growing up in Weatherford. “My
favorite thing about being Sweetheart was work-
ing with the kids and meeting new people,” she
said.
When asked what she will miss most about
Parker County, Chloe responded without hesita-
tion: “My family.”
This kindhearted girl has great things ahead of
her and will use the opportunities and experienc-
es gained from her tenure as Posse Sweetheart
and from living in Parker County to help her
excel in the future. The piece of advice she wants
to leave to aspiring Sweethearts is that “no dream
is too big and no dreamer too small — always
believe in yourself.”
