art , to be painting full-time . And a nifty old truck may be part of the plan going forward . “ I ’ ve got my granddad ’ s old ’ 46 model truck , and that I want to turn into an art hauler . It ’ s a Chevrolet two-ton , an old grain truck . If I make enough money making art I ’ m going to drop it on a later model chassis , put a flatbed on the back of it and set it up to haul my art . I would love to be able to go to shows and pull up in an old rusty truck and pull out my old rusty truck paintings . That would be cool , would it not ?”

Milner ’ s passion for his art has his 7-year-old son Joshua wanting to follow in his steps . And that ’ s fine by dad , who feels making art is a useful endeavor .

“ Art is helpful to people . If it puts a smile on your face , if it brings back a memory of granddad or whatever , then I ’ ve done my job as an artist ,” Milner said . “ I ’ m supposed to grab you with what I paint , bring up a feeling or an emotion . That ’ s what it is all about .”
