and Western, including pleasure, trail and showmanship. The group has only one mission, to empower our Stars to reach great Strides in life through the power of the horse. “We’re excited at Stars & Strides to be chosen by Parker County Today to participate in this event. It’s been great getting to know Tyler and helping him. It’s been great for us and all of the organizations that are involved,” said David Miller, Director of Stars & Strides. Weatherford Downtown Café Jason Ratliff makes a great burger, as well as delicious breakfasts and plate lunches to die for right on Weatherford’s downtown square. The Downtown Café is a Weatherford and Parker County standout and its long history of great food and friendly service makes it a must-visit for locals and visitors. Jason’s cuisine doesn’t just include your standard café favorites because he raises the bar for foodies by offering specials like chicken and waffles and decadent chicken-fried bacon. And now everybody knows how great it is because the Downtown Café was just named one of the Top 40 places in Texas to eat breakfast by Texas Monthly magazine. According to Jason, “We have a great charity and a great bachelor. There’s no reason that we can’t raise the most money for our charity.” The Downtown Café is open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily as well as 5-8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. The address is 101 W.
