Lin Bearden President, First National Bank of Weatherford Lin Bearden received his pilot’s license five years ago, and his current plane is his second since receiving his license, a Bonanza F-33. “It was something I always wanted to do my entire adult life that I just put off and put off. And I thought: ‘If I put it off anymore I’ll never do it,’” Bearden said. It took him nine months of flying on the weekends to get his license. “Flying is an incredible experience. Flying in a small plane is not for everyone, being able to jump into a plane and get up to 10,000 feet,” he explained. “You have to manage so many different components and variables, and for my personality I just love that. It’s just an experience you can’t replicate.” Paul Paschall Paschall Insurance Group JULY 2016 PA R K E R C O U N T Y T O D AY Paul Paschall learned to fish with his father. “It’s what we did together,” he said, “what we did for recreation.” Fishing is how Paschall makes his relationships. “It’s something you can do that takes your mind to a place of peace and serenity,” he said. “And you can take friends and teach them and see the excitement of catching a fish for the first time. Fishing has been a hobby that has helped me form lifelong friendships.” He also has a fishing and skeeter boat that he fishes in part of the year and that his family uses as well. Boating is a family activity that both he and his family enjoy during the warmer months. “We eat dinner, go tubing, driving on the boat. We do that a couple times a week,” he said. “One of the great things about fishing is that it doesn’t cost a lot of money. You don’t have to have a talent.
