Not long ago, when I turned 40, this
milestone was weighing heavily on
my mind.
I decided to make a change in my
lifestyle and do something different.
I have always been active with the
occasional jog and some yoga classes
but that was about the extent of my
exercise program. My friend mentioned that she was going to a personal trainer and asked me to come along
to see what it was all about.
At first I was hesitant, however my
first meeting with Kerry was very
comfortable and he immediately
made me feel like we had been friends
for years. He was able to pinpoint
what my goals would be right away,
even though I had never done any strength training before. He started me
out slowly with little or no weights, and added some stretching and different
exercises based on my body type.
As I progressed, the workouts started to increase and the
real strength training began. It
really helps to have someone
that knows what they’re doing;
guiding you through each workout and giving me the additional
support, it really made me not
want to miss a single workout.
Now I’m hooked … I feel better
at 43 than I ever have in my
entire life. Other than marrying
my husband, this was the best
decision I’ve ever made.
