off. “It’s hard on everybody. But my
parents understand the rodeo way of
life,” said Kimzey.
The rodeo life is what Kimzey has
always wanted. “It’s always what
I dreamed and hoped for. For how
quickly everything came together,
I don’t think anybody could dream
this,” he continued.
Kimzey has plans for a quiet cowboy life on his ranch when his rodeo
days are through. “I’m trying to set
myself up after I retire. A long career
for a bullrider is only 15 years,” he
said. If he wins the CBR Championship for the second time, bets are that
Kimzey will be in the market for more
acreage and cattle in his hometown of
Weatherford, Okla.
When the dust settles on July 21,
nearly one-half million dollars will be
paid to bullriders and bull team owners making it one of the richest competitions in bullriding. The 2015 Road
to Cheyenne Tour is televised Aug.

with the CBR World Championships
in Cheyenne, Wyo., as the final two
shows of the season.
