David S. Irvin’s Positively Parker County
The Martins —
Angie, Kirk and Chance
44
The Martins were not born in Parker County, but they got here as fast as they could. Kirk
moved to Weatherford from Tulsa in 1979, and Angie moved here in 1996 when they got
married, but son Chance is a Weatherford native, born and raised here.
Kirk is an attorney and a former felony prosecutor. He is currently Justice of the Peace
of Precinct 4. Kirk gives back to the community by being a member of the Aledo Rotary
Club and East Parker County Chamber of Commerce. He has been a member of the
Parker County Sheriff’s Posse for over 30 years and helps facilitate the Parker County Teen
Court. Kirk also designed and built the iron crestings on top of the courthouse. Chance is an
independent oil and gas company operator.
Angie has been the VP/Business Development Officer for PlainsCapital Bank since 2006
when the bank opened in Weatherford. She gives back to the community by serving on the
board and working as an ambassador for the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce, a member
of and an ambassador for the East Parker County Chamber of Commerce, treasurer of the
board of the Parker County Committee on Aging, and as treasurer of the board of United Way
of Parker County.
When the Martins have spare time, Kirk shoots in NRA-sanctioned competitions throughout
the United States and Angie volunteers for charitable organizations. Chance loves being in
the outdoors, especially when he’s hunting and fishing.
