Lauren said . “ I attended classes at Tarleton for two years , with a focus on geology .” She earned her Bachelor ’ s Degree from Texas A & M University . “ Then I decided to go into real estate . When I decided to get a geology degree , the oil and gas industry was going strong . As I graduated , the bottom fell out of the market .”
Bodie Stark has his two siblings and his niece in the business . He ’ s now been in real estate for three years . “ Bodie is my buyer ’ s specialist ,” Tara said . “ He has the patience of Job and has a heart for people and tenacity about him that he ’ s had all his life . It ’ s the core of who he is .”
His wife Linda has just joined him in the business .
“ We have an amazing relationship and we all work very well together ,” Tara said . “ It ’ s important for us to have that professional relationship . It ’ s such a unique thing , to have that constant family influence . What I did has impacted my family in so many different ways . To work together and mastermind together , to get each other ’ s insight and help and to share that with your family is just amazing . If you ’ re not making a difference in someone else ’ s life what are we doing any of this for ?” What about sibling rivalry ? “ I don ’ t think we ’ ve had any of that ,” Tara said . There is one Stark sibling that is not likely to ever become a realtor .
” My little sister , Pinky , ( a . k . a . Ingia Saxton ), is the principal at Brock Middle School and the baby of the family ,” Tara said . ” When you work for ranches you move around . The horse industry prepared me for real estate . The things that happen in your life make you who you are . We are who we are because of our experiences .”
What ’ s the Stark family secret that enables them to spend so much time together without big friction ?
“ I think that ’ s just how our family is wired . We like being together ,” Lauren said . “ Like my Aunt Heather ’ s Gracefully Strong events — we take the whole family . We support each other .”
