PCT : What kind of music are you into ? BS : Electronic House Music .
PCT : What ’ s the most daring thing you ’ ve ever done ? BS : Opening Fire Oak Grill ( on Weatherford ’ s Historic Square ). It was the first time I didn ’ t get to depend on someone else for a paycheck .
PCT : What accomplishment are you most proud of ? BS : My children . It ’ s an accomplishment that keeps growing .
PCT : When you were a child , what did you want to be when you grew up ? BS : I wanted to be a chef .
PCT : How did you get into your field ? BS : Through a lot of hard knocks , learning from my mistakes and learning from the mistakes of others . When I was in school ( Weatherford High School ), I was making great grades , but I was always getting kicked out of school for one reason or another . One day I went to Weatherford College and got my GED and came back and said , “ I ’ m in college now .” I went to work at Pizzazz Pizza in Willow Park . I did a lot of everything while I was there . … I was the PR manager for 8.0 . I was the food and beverage manager for the Ashton Hotel , I was the general manager at Michael ’ s Restaurant and I was the food and beverage director for the Movie Tavern in Bedford … Then the CEO of Cinemark bought the Movie Tavern concept . I didn ’ t want to be part of that corporate giant so I left . Then on July 11 , 2007 , I opened Fire Oak Grill .
PCT : What do you do to relax ? BS : Outdoors stuff — fishing and hunting .
PCT : What person from history would you most like to have lunch with ?
BS : Albert Schweitzer . There are a lot of selfish people in the world but I like people who do things for others . Besides , my mother has traced out family tree back and he is part of my family .
PCT : If someone asked you for your best piece of advice , what would you say ? BS : Listen before you speak .
PCT : What would you most like to be remembered for ? BS : For being a logical , caring person who ’ s easy going . I ’ m not an overreactor .

PCT : How long have you been in Parker County ? TW : I am the 9th generation in my family to have lived in this county ! I have lived in Weatherford my whole life ( 18 years ).
PCT : What ’ s the coolest thing that you have ever done in your life ? TW : I have traveled to Ecuador to help the less fortunate , and I have recently won the Parker County Today Most Eligible Bachelorette , while being the youngest candidate they have ever had .
PCT : What ’ s your secret talent ? TW : A little known fact , I was on the varsity wrestling team Weatherford High School . I have never wrestled before in my life . But freshman year , a spot on the team was open and I decided to give it a shot . Surprisingly I turned out decently well at the sport . Coach Sanders taught me everything I know ! He was a great coach !
PCT : What is your definition of the best day ever ? TW : That ’ s a tough one because every day is good if I ’ m fortunate to wake up and live another day . But the best day ever would be in June during the Parker County Sheriffs Posse Rodeo !
PCT : What piece of advice has defined your life up till now ? TW : Treat everyone for how you would want to be treated , and always give 110 % in no matter what you do .
PCT : If you could have another career , what would it be and why ? TW : Since I don ’ t have a career yet , my goal after college would be President of Marketing of a major corporation . I ’ m currently attending Weatherford College for a business degree at the moment and then hopefully later I will further pursue a master ’ s degree .

Thomas B . Saunders V is a part of the Saunders family who first came to Texas in 1850 He is a sixth generation modern day cowboy with several different successful cattle companies as well as training and breeding top-end ranch horses . He is a stock contractor for a number of rodeos as well as providing horses on several well-known movie sets .
