PCT : Would you recommend your career for other people ? Why ? SW : For someone who is dedicated to teaching and students , this career can be very rewarding .
PCT : What do you do to relax ? SW : I like to read books , play video games , bake desserts , and go to concerts .

PCT : How long have you been in Parker County ? TB : I have been here all my life except when I left for college in 2007 and came back in 2013 .
PCT : What ’ s the coolest thing that you have ever done in your life ? TB : I got to swim with stingrays in the Grand Cayman Islands .
PCT : What ’ s your secret talent ? TB : I ’ m very good at volleyball .
PCT : What is your definition of the best day ever ? TB : Traveling to a new city , live music and enjoying art and culture .
PCT : What piece of advice has defined your life up until now ? TB : Trust your gut instinct .
PCT : If you could have another career , what would it be and why ? TB : I would love to be a real estate developer or an actor or performer .

PCT : What do you do ? SW : I teach the survey American history courses at Weatherford College .
PCT : What is your favorite book ? SW : I read fantasy , science fiction and horror books fairly voraciously . I do not have a favorite book overall .
PCT : What is your favorite kind of music ? SW : I listen primarily to heavy metal .
PCT : What ’ s the most daring thing you ’ ve ever done ? SW : After graduating from Rice University I spent a summer in the countryside in Germany . It was part of a program designed to put Englishspeaking students into former East Germany to show them what we were like . I spent a month and a half in a small German village called Kossenblatt on the Polish border with three other British and American students .
PCT : What accomplishment are you most proud of ? SW : Successfully completing a BA in history at Rice University and an MA in history at Penn State University .
PCT : When you were a child , what did you want to be when you grew up ? SW : I wanted to be an engineer .
PCT : How did you get into your field ? SW : After getting a degree in history from Rice University , I was given the choice of going to law school or graduate school . Not being sure which I wanted , I decided to go to grad school . While at Penn State I faced the choice of concentrating on research or teaching , and I found that teaching suited me . After staying for eight years at Penn State , including five years of teaching my own classes , I went out on the job market with my MA , meaning that I was looking for a job at a community college . This is what brought me to teach
PCT : If you could visit any place in the world , where would you go ? SW : I would love to go back to Germany . Berlin was one of the most interesting cities I have visited .
PCT : What person from history would you most like to have lunch with ? SW : I have been fascinated with Harry Truman from the point where I first started getting interested in history .
PCT : If someone asked you for your best piece of advice , what would you say ? SW : Ask questions to make sure that you understand what is going on before you dive into something .
PCT : What would you most like to be remembered for ? SW : I hope that I am able to help make my students into better people and better citizens of the United States .
