Puls Haney Growing To Serve You in 2017
We hope you enjoyed the holidays . It is time to start the New Year , and we wish that 2017 is fantastic for all . We are starting off 2017 with a bang , having added several new lawyers to our team and opened up our new Weatherford office . You are invited to come see us !
We are pleased to announce that Mr . Roger Phillips , of Poolville / Weatherford and Mr . Jerry Jarzombek both joined us as of counsel . Roger has a growing practice including family and criminal law , personal injury , wills and probate . Jerry is recognized as one of the finest consumer attorneys in the State of Texas , including class action claims that he has pursued on behalf of Texans against some of the largest predatory financial institutions in the United States . Jerry sits on the State Bar of Texas Consumer Law panel , and has been a go-to attorney sought out by other attorneys on consumer law issues throughout the State of Texas . In addition to Roger and Jerry , John Lively and his son John Jr . have joined us . You may recall from the news in Weatherford that the Livelys obtained one of the largest jury verdicts ever in the history of Parker County .
These fine attorneys join Mark Haney and Kelly Puls , of Puls & Haney who , in March of 2015 , obtained one the largest jury verdicts in the United States for the year 2015 in a products liability case that arose from a defectively designed and manufactured sky light product . The jury verdict in that case was for $ 33,800,000.00 and came out of the 48 th District Court of Tarrant County , Texas . This was Mark ’ s second time to be a part of a team that obtained one of the largest jury verdicts in the United States , having obtained a judgment for $ 43,000,000.00 out of the 236 th District Court in Tarrant County , Texas in 2003 .
Last year , Mark and his law partner Kelly Puls also obtained one of the largest jury verdicts ever out of

Donley County in the Panhandle of Texas . This case arose from the sexual abuse of a young child by a close relative . This followed a weeklong trial in Clarendon , Texas . Each of these cases were settled for a confidential amount following the respective verdicts .
Mark is a past President of the Tarrant County Trial Lawyers Association and a current Board Member of that organization . Mark is also a member of the Fort Worth Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates , which requires a minimum of 100 days first chair trial experience and the endorsement of colleagues and the judiciary regarding the highest ethical standards and trial skills .
Mark and Kelly have tried cases to verdict throughout the State of Texas , including an intellectual property case out of the Southern District of Texas involving intellectual property rights to specialty fiber optic cables for the oil and gas industry . Kelly was formerly lead counsel in the XTO Exxon merger , which is still one of the largest mergers in the history of the United States .
Additionally , the firm has added two new associates , Mr . Kolter Jennings , and Mr . Travis Heller . Both come with high academic achievements from their respective law schools , and add a fresh perspective and high energy to the firm . They join attorney Cole Bryan who joined the firm last year . Cole specializes in probate , wills , trusts , and guardianship matters .
