Q: Do you like to plan things out in
detail or be spontaneous?
A: I like planning when it comes
to work-related issues, but in my
personal life I prefer spontaneity.
Q: Who in your life has influenced
you the most? How?
A: Wow, I have had so many influences. The first that comes to mind
is my former chief, David Hudgins.
During my time with the Waxahachie
Fire Dept., Chief Hudgins set the
example on how to be a fire chief
and community leader. Another great
influence has been my father-in-law,
Hal Jones. He is a great husband,
dad, and granddaddy. He is the most
successful man I know.
Q: What would you most like to be
remembered for?
A: I would like to leave a legacy of
being a leader who invested in those
around me. I want to help others
reach their goals.

Q. If you were to write a book, what
would you call it and what would it
be about?
A. I start ed writing a book about a
boy kidnapped by pirates who eventually worked his way into their crew
and learned that the pirates were
actually good and the others trying to
attack them were bad. I am calling it
Pirate Revelation.

A. I did a front flip off a trampoline
and slam dunked a basketball.

A. Pitching a perfect game, and I
have always made straight A’s in
