Charlie, 3, and Eliza Gail, 1.
County history. They traveled across
the country conducting research
for their books and holding book
signings. Proceeds from their book
sales went to benefit the Abandoned
Cemetery Association. They wrote
together until health issues put a halt
to their writing projects.
“I’m 88 and Leon is 91,” Mary
Kemp said. “We’re not able to write
like we used to.” Then she proceeded
to talk about ideas for a new writing
project. “There’s still a lot of Parker
County history to write about,” she
said.
