Chris Crawford
Police Commander
Weatherford Police
Department
Q: What do you do?
A: Professional Standards – Training,
Public Information Officer, Police
Recognition Program.
Q: What are some of your favorite
movies?
A: Rudy, Woodlawn, Lone Survivor,
We Were Soldiers, Blackhawk Down,
Braveheart, Zero Dark Thirty.
Q: What kind of music are you into?
A: I listen to a wide variety of everything, but mostly Country, 80’s and
90’s rock, and Christian music.
Q: What accomplishment are you
most proud of?
A: I would say my biggest accomplishment to date has been the character of my children so far. My kids
are really sweet and compassionate
children. I have had many great
accomplishments such as attending the FBI National Academy and
obtaining my Master’s Degree, but it
is only a piece of paper. My children are my best accomplishment
and having them remember me as a
great dad is my goal.
Q: Are you married? How did you
meet your spouse?
A: Yes, I am married.
Q: How did you get into your field?
A: I got into law enforcement
because of my twin brother. My
brother mentioned to me one day
that he was going to attend the
Weatherford College Police Academy
in 1991 and I thought it sounded like
something fun to do. I wasn’t enjoying college that much so decided to
go with him. I ended up making a
career out of something that sounded
fun to do at the time.
Q: If someone asked you to give
them your best piece of advice, what
would you say?
A: Live your life with gratitude and
appreciate time. Always be grateful
for the blessings you have in your
life. Live in the moment and never
take for granted friends and family.
Always remember that once time
with friends and family are gone, you
can never get it back.
Q: Who in your life has influenced
you the most? How?
A: My father is probably my biggest
influence. He is a man of strong
character and he is one of the most
selfless people I know. He will
always drop what he is doing if
anyone of his friends or family need
him.
Q: What would you most like to be
remembered for?
A: I would like to be remembered as
a good father, a good husband and a
good person.

Q: When you were a child, what did
you want to be when you grew up?
A: A park ranger.
Q: Would you recommend your
Q: If you could visit any place in the
world, where would you go?
A: If I could travel anywhere in the
world, I would choose Australia. It
seems to be a truly one-of-a-kind
place with unique flora and fauna,
independent, rugged individuals, and
a spirit like that of Texas.
Q: If you could go back in history,
who is the one person you would like
to meet?
A: I think I would like to meet
Benjamin Franklin. I would take
the opportu nity to warn him of the
coming perversions and detractions
of the Constitution so that he and his
fellow framers of that great document
could address them specifically.

after I start picking.

career for other people? Why?
A: I would recommend the camping
ministry to anyone that would get
joy from serving others. Working in
Christian camping is rewarding on
many levels. It is a great way to meet
lots of people and relate to them in a
unique setting.
