100 Most Interesting Parker County People You Should Meet Before You Die PART 2 OF 4 For the seventh year, we at Parker County Today have compiled our Social Bucket List. This year's list includes volunteers, artists, actors, musicians, coaches, businessmen and women, and others who have found success in their own way. Enjoy! Charlotte LaGrone Charlotte is the Executive Director of Organizational Culture in Weatherford ISD 6 PCT: How did you get into your occupation? CL: I started as a parent volunteer in Weatherford ISD in 1997. In 1999, I was hired to be the librarian at Martin Elementary. The following year, the Weatherford ISD Education Foundation was formed and I was hired to work in the District Services Building. I’ve also held positions in our Assessment Department and in Community Relations. PCT: What is your favorite novel? CL: Hands down, it’s The Harry Potter series. I’d drag my family to the midnight releases of those books! PCT: What do you do to decompress? CL: We’re big TCU and Dallas Stars sports fans, so watching sports is my favorite way to decompress. That and I play a bit of Candy Crush! PCT: What is something people don’t know about you? CL: In 1990, my husband was relo- cated to Ogden, Utah, for Lockheed Martin. At the time, I was a stay-at- home mom and was very involved in the community through the Junior League. During our years there, the Junior League hosted two statewide immunization conferences that featured former First Lady Rosalynn Carter as a keynote speaker. I had the honor of accompanying her through- out her stay for both conferences. PCT: What would you most like to be remembered for? CL: I’d love to be remembered for all the students, staff and alumni we have honored through Weatherford ISD over the years. PCT: If you could have lunch with anyone living or dead in history, who would it be? CL: That’s a tough one. My first answer is to have lunch with my dad, grandparents and other relatives who are no longer with us. If I had to pick someone in history to have lunch with, I think it would have to be George H. and George W. Bush and their wives. PCT: If you had to do a job other than what you’re doing, what would you do? CL: I love my job, so I can’t imagine another job that I’d rather do.   PCT: What is your impact to Parker County? CL: I am so fortunate to oversee the WISD Communications Department, the WISD Ex-Student Association, and WISD Education Foundation. The Foundation’s Board of Directors rais- es funds for the students and teachers of WISD by providing school supplies to students in need, scholarships for teachers to continue their education, and grants to teachers to fund class- room programs that are innovative and enrich student learning.  PCT: What is your definition of the best day ever? CL: My best day ever would be going to a TCU football game with my family … then to Joe T’s for dinner … then on to a Dallas Stars hockey g
