Driven by Demand

BY RICHARD A . FLOREY Marketing Director EcoVantage Energy , inc . www ./ ecovantageenergy . com
The Rise of Solar As human growth and expansion across the globe goes , so does the demand for electricity . It ’ s that demand that has strained the world ’ s electric grid and has led to the growth of alternative energy , in particular , solar . “ Since solar energy is abundantly available in certain parts of the world , several market players are shifting their focus towards solar photovoltaic installations to meet the growing energy demands . Also , the global solar photovoltaic installation market is propelled by growing awareness about environmental sustainability and the benefits of resorting to non-conventional ( renewable ) energy sources . The other factors that drive this market are greater output efficiency , cheaper installation costs and maintenance , falling prices , and favorable government schemes and regulations . Fact is , solar photovoltaic systems in the residential segment and in commercial buildings has increased substantially in recent years . These are by far the best suited for institutional and commercial applications such as in offices , hotels , and hospitals .”*
and personal solar is even better .
Simple and Direct Although the development of the technology that is solar has taken many years to hone ; the simplicity of the system takes it ’ s inspiration from nature . Let ’ s say a tree is an example of a home and that all the leaves on the tree are the tiny solar panels that supply energy to the tree . Or home . You know what I mean . That right there is why I get excited about any technology that compliments creation . Solar is that kind of technology . This simple and direct solution to our growing demand for power is something we all can embrace . Kudos to any individual or utility that makes the decision to go solar !
Grid Relief One thing is certain , with the increase in solar systems across the board , there is a reduction of demand on the utility grid , which is extremely important . If you think about it , building a hydro-electric plant or a nuclear power plant is incredibly difficult to do . Not to mention the biggest expense to utility electricity and that is transmission lines . Having local , utility solar farms is just perfect for filling in the gaps in the increasing demand
