Carole Ann Williams
Carole Williams Insurance
Q: What’s your official title?
A: Many. Wife and marriage partner,
mom, business owner – it depends
on the day
Q: What do you do?
A: I have been in the insurance business all of my adult life and established Carole Williams Insurance
in 1988. We work primarily with
families, small business owners and
ranchers to help them structure individualized coverage, financial protection and strategies to secure their
financial futures.
Q: What is your favorite book?
A: The Bible- It is history, philosophy,
adventure, self-improvement, comfort
and wisdom.
Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: Places in the Heart
Q: What is your favorite kind of
music?
A: All kinds – I love music
Q: What’s the most daring thing
you’ve ever done?
A: The mule ride down Grand
Canyon. Exciting and fun when I was
12 with my dad; somewhat fearful in
my 30’s with my own family. With
age comes wisdom.
Q: What accomplishment are you
most proud of?
A: A happy, 46-year marriage to my
best friend, Robert and our 2 sons,
who were fun as little guys and are
now wonderful family men with
successful careers. Those are the
basis for everything else.
Q: When you were a child, what did
you want to be when you grew up?
A: Like any little kid, many things.
My mom was a nurse, but I can’t
stand to hear “ouch”, so that was
not for me. My dad owned his own
business, where I learned the value
of hard work and long hours, but did
not want to follow into that business.
In high school, I thought perhaps
journalism -----very glad I did not go
that direction – no offense intended.
Q: How did you get into your field?
A: My first job was with Aetna
Insurance in downtown Ft. Worth
as a file clerk and typist. I moved up
from that into other areas with Aetna,
learning life insurance products. I
also worked for an independent agent
in Stephenville, while my husband
finished college and there realized
that I loved the insurance business
and working with people.
Q: Would you recommend your
career for other people? Why?
A: I believe anyone who chooses
insurance and financial services
needs to have a true passion for
working with people and being genuinely interested in every client, as an
individual. Every person and family is
unique and deserves to have advisors
they can trust and depend on, whether it is their attorney, CPA, insurance professional, doctor, etc. It is
a rewarding career and I am always
excited and pleased when I know
I have helped a client with strategies and solutions that put them in a
better position than before we met.
Q: What do you do to relax?
A: Watch the sunrise or sunset from
the back porch with my husband,
spend time with kids and grandkids
and travel to new places.
Q: If you could visit any place in the
world, where would you go?
A: Ireland and Australia
Q: What person from history would
you most like to have lunch with?
A: Ronald Reagan. He was a truly
remarkable individual whose character and wisdom were a great benefit
to this nation and the world.
Q: If someone asked you for your
best piece of advice, what would
you say?
A: Realize God is for you and He is
enough. Do your best to honor Him
in your personal relationships, business and community.
Q: What would you most like to be
remembered for?
A: I made a positive difference in
someone’s life.
