Q: When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? A: Like any little kid, many things. My mom was a nurse, but I can’t stand to hear “ouch”, so that was not for me. In high school, I thought perhaps journalism -----very glad I did not go that direction – no offense intended. Q: How did you get into your field? A: My first job was with Aetna Insurance in downtown Ft. Worth as a file clerk and typist. I moved up from that into other areas with Aetna, learning life insurance products. I also worked for an independent agent in Stephenville, while my husband finished college and there realized that I loved the insurance business and working with people. Q: Would you recommend your career for other people? Why? A: I believe anyone who chooses insurance and financial services needs to have a true passion for working with people and being genuinely interested in every client, as an individual. Every person and family is unique and deserves to have advisors they can trust and depend on, whether it is their attorney, CPA, insurance professional, doctor, etc. It is a rewarding career and I am always excited and pleased when I know I have helped a client with strategies and solutions that put them in a better position than before we met.
