On October 1, Medical City Weatherford, formerly Weatherford Regional Medical Center, joined the Medial City Healthcare family. Medical City

Over the past ten years, the hospital has made many advancements to meet the needs of the growing community. The facility has added 28 new
physicians to the medical staff, completed maternal newborn department renovations and started an internal medicine residency program in part-
nership with the University of North Texas Health Science Center. In 2016, a second cardiac catheterization lab oratory was added to treat and
care for heart attack patients quickly. The faster patients get access to life-threatening interventions, the greater the chances of survival and maxi-
mum recovery with minimal heart damage.

A commitment to quality care has long been a primary focus of the hospital. The facility was one of 904 hospitals out of more than 4,500 nationwide
to be rated a four-star hospital by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on its Hospital Compare website (www.medicare.gov/
hospitalcompare). The recognition was granted for exceeding the national average in timeliness of care for maintaining ER wait times below the
national average and lowering hospital readmissions. The hospital also received higher than the national average ratings on overall safety and
effectiveness of care.
Most recently, Medical City Weatherford received recognition by the National Organization of State Office of Rural Health (NOSORH) for overall
excellence in outcome, reflecting top quartile performance among all rural hospitals in the nation.
