Ok , Let ’ s take a break !
It ’ s been a tough fall . Shootings , murder and mayhem have dominated the headlines over the last few months , so I thought it was time to lighten up .
If you are at all like me ( and I ’ m sure some people reading this pray that they ’ re not ), there are some iconic things that tend to help get you through the day .
For instance , I ’ m a huge Seinfeld fan , and I can apply most things that occur ( life events ) in everyday life right back to a Seinfeld episode . For example , the show where they forgot where they parked their car in the parking garage , or “ you gotta see the baby ”, or “ the re-gifting episode .”
So something I find similarly consoling is what I think of as Great Movie Lines . I tend to relate movie lines to certain things that happen in life . And when life gets tough , I at least think of how that fits with a great line from a movie .
I ’ ll start off with a few of mine , and it might be fun to email us at Parker County Today with some of your favorites . I ’ m sure I will leave some great ones out . So a la David Letterman ( whom I greatly miss seeing on television ) here is my own “ Top Ten List :”
