our taste: RESTAURANT REVIEW Mamma Monica Restaurant & Catering For A Taste Of La Dolce Vita BY THE WEATHERFORD FOODIE M amma Monica is not what you expect to find in this part of Parker County. When I heard about a great Italian restaurant in southern Parker County I was understandably curious. I ventured down to where Tin Top and Bethel roads meet to find Mamma Monica’s Italian restaurant. That night I was dining with two companions and we were all hungry, so we decided to give it a try.  Opened in 2016, Mamma Monica is a farm-to-table Italian family bistro that serves hand-made fresh food. That’s right, they serve Italian food made from scratch. We were greeted by an immaculately clean restaurant and a scene that I would expect to see in Dallas. The space was intimate but not small, tables were lovely and situated on a spacious gray concrete floor and adorned with oil, vinegar and fresh pepper grinders. We were seated and surveyed our surroundings. I noticed a light fixture made from graters and whisks in front of an orange-painted wall stating “food is love,” a comforting decoration. One member of my dinner party must eat a gluten-free diet and, as with most Italian restaurants, her choices were limited. We looked over the single-page menu that included appetizers, pasta, meat dishes and sides available. Both companions chose to have Bon Appetito! Weatherford Foodie can be found at weatherfordfoodie.com and on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Yelp, Urbanspoon, Foursquare and Pinterest.
