door that came off the Rippy cabin in 1867 that they
found in Western Parker County. See, that’s how my
family got together.”
Connelley started his membership in the SAR
in 2008 and Oliver started his in 2003, having
documented his ancestors “back to the Gillford County
Courthouse. The man’s name was James Oliver. So, I
just followed the line from his father to his brothers.
I can trace them back down to Georgia and then to
Texas.”
