“The style typically speaks to
children, a lot of times,” Soble said.
“Things like you might see in an
illustrated book. That type of art.”
Her settling on watercolors as
a medium was really a matter of
practicality.

“It was really more about
convenience at first,” she explained.
“I really enjoyed working in a
sketchbook and I could always take
my watercolors wherever I went.
They’re also really inexpensive, so
I bought a set of nicer professionalgrade watercolors. I was a sophomore
in high school, and I still use the
same watercolors. And I paint a lot!”
She graduated Weatherford High
School in 2004.
Soble also does contract graphic
design work, using watercolors to
enhance the design — think wedding
