Dr. Tierce told us that Sid was suffering. It’s in the report that he said, ‘I
can keep him alive for two weeks.’
And I said, ‘Well, if he’s in pain, and
I didn’t want him to suffer for two
more weeks.’”
Oddly, according to Jamie Harris,
Tierce’s office never billed them for
treating Sid.
“She [Marian] just finally wrote
him a check and she said, ‘I know it
doesn’t cover it, but this will help.’
They never sent that final bill. They
were very disorganized.”
Oddly enough, the Harrises took
Sid in to Dr. Tierce for something that
was relatively minor.
“We took him in for an anal
gland problem,” Jamie Harris said.
“That’s a whole different situation.
I went in and asked if that was a
simple surgery. Tierce said, ’Surgery
isn’t the preferred technique for that;
there’s a new method of a cold laser,
and we’ve acquired a cold laser and
