medical field and have
found a new calling helping others using alternative
medicines and therapies
along with innovative
medical equipment to help
their clients and members
look and feel better.
The spa will offer alternative
medicine along with the latest in
skincare with the Hydra Facial and
Bella Contour. The Bella Contour
machines are made in Israel and very
few of them are available for customers in the West.
“It’s FDA-approved for blood
flow and it’s ultrasound. It’s just an
option for women, there’s no downtime, there’s no bruising, there’s no
nothing really, you come and get a
treatment and you leave the same
way that you came. So you can go
straight to dinner, nobody knows
that you had a procedure done,” said
Amber. “The Hydra Facial is kind of
the talk of all the facials now. The
Bella and the Hydra facial are kind of
like botox in a bottle. We’re gonna
have eyelashes and pedicures and
hopefully Brazilian blowouts. We’re
gonna have a massage therapist
and hopefully offer a shiatsu on the
weekends, which is amazing. And
then we’ll have an essential oxygen
oil bar. We’re bringing in the Hocatt
machine and Ozone therapy, Oxygen
therapy, Essential Oil therapy and

But their spa will be unlike
anything else in the marketplace. The
two sisters are working on opening a
place for busy professionals to spend
time caring for themselves and even
getting down to business at the same
location.
Amber Moseley has medical
equipment sales on her professional
resume, but that’s not what prompted
her to start Amira Spa in Weatherford
on West Owens along with her
sister, a physician’s assistant. A rare
auto immune disorder in the ‘90s
left Amber disabled wit h a treatment
plan that included amputating her left
arm. This coming after having lived
through multiple surgeries and cutting
off her arm was the doctor’s last
option for his patient. “So I remember
laying in the hospital bed thinking,
God if you get me out of here, I will
be completely healed and I wanna
help other people,” she said. She
began working with her horses and
became a patient of her sister, Rajean
and the doctor she worked with.
After trying a number of alternative
treatments, the one that showed the
most success was working with her
horses. “I couldn’t use my arm and
I would just go out there and rub up
against them and eventually I would
start brushing them and eventually
I got the use of my arm back and it
was because of my horses. I’ve been
riding since I was 3 years old and
that’s where I felt the most comfort,
so I used them as my therapy,” she
continued. She went back to her
original doctor and he said she was
cured, something he had never seen
at that stage of her disease. “It was
because of God and my animals
and the guidance of Rajean and her
doctor,” said Amber.
But Amber was devastated again
10 years later with another rare
disease that had her whole body
attacking itself. The inflammatory
condition was from taking an overthe-counter amino acid manufactured in Japan. The medication was
contaminated and she spent three
weeks in the hospital in Lubbock
and then was transferred to the Mayo
Clinic. Her heart was completely
closed with even the addition of a
stint not working to help her. She
again turned to her sister and the
doctor after she was sent home with
no hope. Through a number of
alternative medical treatments she’s
made a full recovery from this second
attack, thanks to the knowledge and
care shown her by the two medical professionals. “But the point I’m
making is that all of that happening
in my life has given us so many years
to prepare to bring other people the
best stuff here,” said Amber. She
wants to use her experiences to help
others who might have medical
struggles.
