he Full Cup is a coffee shop and
bookstore located on South Main
Street that offers a comfortable space
to come in, drink your favorite drink,
read some books and enjoy some
great company.
“We wanted it to have a sense of
community,” said Jennifer DeWitt. “A
real neighborhood hangout.”
Opened in April of 2014 by
Bridget Talmage and DeWitt, the
shop has made a name for itself not
only by being unique to Weatherford,
but also offering special services
you won’t find anywhere else in the
community. “It’s just Bridget and
[me], so we have a relationship with
our customers,” said DeWitt. “With
50 employees, you wouldn’t get
that.”
Open Monday through Friday
from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and
Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., you are
sure to get your caffeine fix with their
fresh and locally roasted coffee. The
shop sells everything from a Cuppa,
which is medium roast coffee,
to French Press, to Cold Brew.
They also have the basics,
such as Americanos, espres-
sos, cappuccinos, macchiatos
and lattes. You can also add
your choices of syrup and
shots of espresso to your
drinks. They are all made
to order. They also serve
frappes, flavored from your
favorite candy bar such as Snickers
or Almond Joy, to seasonal flavors
such as pumpkin spice. You can also
get non-coffee drinks, including their
special four-chocolate hot chocolate,
a “Steamer” -- a specialty flavored
drink, or an Italian Soda with your
favorite flavor mixed in.
In the large room sits a bookcase
that allows for books of all genres to
be picked up, read and traded for a
reasonable price. Big, comfy couches
in the sitting area offer a place for
the business’ customers to sit and
visit as well. You can call ahead with
your order and be treated with curb
service, or buy old and rare books
right off their shelves.
The Full Cup also offers monthly
events. Every Saturday from 3 p.m. to
6 p.m., they host an Open Mic Night.
Every first Wednesday of the month,
from 9 a.m.
