DAYS OF SWINE
AND ROSES
McKENZIE “MOE” MARR
BY CHRISTINA LOVELESS
McKenzie “Moe” Marr, a sophomore at Brock High
School, is an enthusiastic participant involved with
both 4-H and FFA and has been for 7 years now.
As an 8-year-old, she entered her first stock show
and at the age of 10, she was competing in major
shows and competitions.
She’s very focused and she shows only swine.
In 2013, Moe won Reserve Grand Champion in
San Antonio, and this year she won Reserve Grand
Champion at the Fort Worth Stock Show.
When she isn’t showing livestock or preparing them
to show, she runs cross-country and track.
Last year she advanced beyond district at the varsity
level in both events. Moe is also an honor student.
She enjoys training her horse Gypsy and is very
active with her church and its youth group at Brock
Baptist Church.
