The Brooks at Weatherford venue is straight out of a Jane Austen novel

arlier this summer, Parker County
Today Magazine held its Third Annual Boots, BBQ & Bachelors event,
benefiting local charities. A success in
every way, the event amassed nearly
$40,000, raised awareness for five
charities and kept guests entertained
through the night. Tricia and Steve
Heflin, owners of the new venue The
Brooks at Weatherford, hosted.
Situated on the outskirts of Weatherford, The Brooks is a wedding
venue and event center consisting of
a white chapel and a large reception
hall.
After 30 years of owning a design/
building business, co-owners Tricia
and Steven Heflin chose to move
closer to their family in the Metroplex. Not wanting to retire, however,
the duo resolved to start anew –
enter The Brooks. Asked how they
