Main ~ Weatherford, TX 76086 817-594-2733 Big Johns Burgers & Beer — Michael McDonald, executive chef and Scott Dollard Chef Big John’s Burgers, owned by restaurateur Cherish Plemons, who along with Michael McDonald, executive chef and Scott Dollard Chef, delivered exquisite, gourmet hot dogs to the bachelor event guests. The usual baseball game fare was dressed up for the event and is now an everyday feature on their menu, with purple cabbage and spicy mustard. Cherish is busy these days, juggling the successful Big John’s Burgers & Beer on the downtown square as well as Eats Rustic Market on North Main Street and a new eatery on Lake Granbury called Breakwater Bar & Grill. Eats is a bakery, coffee shop and gourmet market filling a needed niche for Parker County foodies. It’s a great place to stop in for an afternoon pick-me-up dessert or something special to take home for dinner. Breakwater Bar & Grill, located at 1003 White Cliff Road in Granbury, has many of the same items on its menu that patrons have enjoyed at Big John’s including the gourmet hot dogs served at the Bachelor Event, hand-cut French fries, juicy burgers as well as the additions of crab cakes, oysters, coconut shrimp and handmade cherry almond pie. The Granbury location hosts live music on the weekends and is accessible by boat from the lake.
