our taste: BOOTS, BBQ & BACHELORS Blending Good Taste with Philanthropy — Parker County’s Top Shelf Chefs Join Forces For Food, Fun and Festivities Chef of the Year For 2015 Fish Creek — A Joe Lane Restaurant Fish Creek, A Joe Lane Restaurant, was named Chef /Restaurant of the Yea at this year’s Boots, BBQ and Bachelor’s event and Joe Lane himself appeared along with Jordan Tyler Ray, his executive chef, with a savory creation simply called, “Fried Potato Balls.” The potatoes were served with a robust garlic sauce and were fried on site by Fish Creek’s talented chefs. The item is now available on the menu at Fish Creek. “It was a happy accident. We had a lot of mashed potatoes left over, so we added cheese, rolled them in panko bread crumbs and we fried them. It can be either a side or an appetizer,” said Chef Joe Lane of Fish Creek. The restaurant has a new menu featuring artisan flatbread pizzas, chicken cordon bleu and a new chicken fried ribeye. And of course they are always bringing in new fish features. Recent ones have included octopus and redfish. “The thing we pride ourselves on is that you can come into Fish Creek and
