host events that focus on handsome bachelors, Parker County
Today’s event focuses on helping
community charities. The event
raised nearly $40,000 for five different Parker County charities all
focused on impacting lives in Parker
County.
Helping a charity raise money
was something different for Wallis.
“I liked getting out there with the
charity. I have never been a part of
a fundraising event like I was with
Boots, BBQ & Bachelors,” he said. “I
think it was a really cool experience
for me to get to help the charity out
in any way I could.”
An Aledo native, Wallis works out
of the Willow Park offices of Century
21 Lynch & Associates. Wallis admits
that the PCT Bachelor’s title is great
for his career.
“I think it helped build my ego
a little bit,” said Wallis. “It really
helps with business. A lot of people
that were there actually remember
me. They’re like, ‘Hey, you won the
Bachelor of the Year.’”
The Careity Foundation is best
known for providing low- or no-cost
mammograms to women for the early
detection of breast cancer. Colton
wants to continue to work with
Careity and help expand its scope to
help men with early cancer detection.
“I will be working with [Careity]
and the men that they [serve],”
he said. “I’m thrilled to help them
launch their new program, Careity’s
Men’s Initiative. They are working
very hard to spread the word and the
awareness that they do male checks
as well. I will be a part of the men’s
group starting in September to help
them market for that and get the
word out for that. I am onboard 100
percent with Careity now. I think we
built a great relationship together.
“They care about the people.
They are very genuine about saving
lives. That’s what really impressed
me with them – the personality of the
whole organization as well. I think
this is the beginning of a beautiful
friendship.”
