PCT: What is something you have learned while owning Lone Star
Mill and Lumber?
GR: To sawmill? “Experience is the teacher of all things.” — Julius

PCT: What are some of your most memorable moments while
working for the sawmill?
GR: Meeting all of my great customers and visiting with them. I
get customers of all types with all kinds of different needs, from
hobbyists with a backyard wood shop making their own little
masterpieces to big contractors needing custom-cut materials with
large orders, as well as local farmers and ranchers needing trailer
floors cut or boards for their barns, fences or stalls.
PCT: What services do you provide?
GR: Custom cut lumber, specializing in farm and ranch lumber,
as well as cedar, oak, pecan, southern yellow pine, mesquite,
round fence posts. We also cut customers’ hauled-in logs by the
hour.
PCT: What is some advice you would give your younger self?
GR: Perseverance, hard work and dedication pays off.
