Many artists find art a cathartic
or calming process, but not
McGee. “No. Just the opposite.
Painting gets me excited!” Just
talking about it seemed to get him
a bit fired up.
His creative process can be
engrossing and involves more than
paints and canvas — music plays
a key role.
“I go into my studio, and, of
course, music is a big part of my
life; at my old age, I’m learning
to play the violin,” said McGee.
