office. HUD lost the largest number
of employees including our entire
legal staff. I advocated on behalf of
the HUD families with the various
relief agencies, including the Red
Cross and was able to assist them
in obtaining thousands of dollars in
assistance as well as over $600,000
in scholarship funds for the children
of those killed. I was also tasked
with providing legal research to
the US Attorney’s Office in OKC
concerning potential criminal charges
related to the death of federal law
enforcement officers in the bombing.

any one, either living or dead from
history, who would it be?
JR: My wife’s distant cousin, Herman
Lehmann, who spent nine years with
the Indians after being captured as a
young boy. Look him up, very inter-
esting books are written about him.

JR: Workout five days a week

JR: On the surface you wouldn’t
know it, but I am shy.
PCT: What is your favorite novel?
JR: Not sure it would be considered
as a “novel”, but Where the Red Fern
Grows. I named my favorite child- PCT: What would you most like to be
remembered for?
JR: Loving dad of the three most
wonderful and beautiful daughters.
PCT: If you had to do another job
than what you’re doing, what would
you do?
JR: Cave tour guide
PCT: What is your impact to Parker
County?
JR: I was raised here, I work here,
I shop here and for more than half
my life, I have dedicated myself to
faithfully serving the citizens of the
community.
PCT: What is your definition of the
best day ever?
JR: Any day spent with family, you
never know when it could be your
last.
